Pretty purple flowers

Introducing pretty purple flowers for my first Easter card this year! I finally used my MFT Beautiful Blooms card kit that I bought weeks ago. :) I also used my new Stitched Rectangle Frame dies from Lawn Fawn.

I love the patterned paper pad that came with the MFT kit. The wood pattern I used for the background of my card is probably my favorite. The kit also came with a few colors of cardstock, with the green being Gumdrop Green, but I decided to use the softer Spearmint color.

I added tons of sparkle with a couple of different Sparkling Clear Pretty Pink Posh sequins and some clear Wink of Stella for the vases.

Heart-shaped pizza

My last valentine this year is for my boyfriend. (He really likes it!) Pizza is one of his all-time favorite foods, but he hasn't had it in more than two years because he is on a very strict diet. *This* pizza is good for him though, and it was really fun picking out the toppings from Lawn Fawn's Pizza My Heart stamp set. :)

To make the slices and the sentiment stand out, I used two Pretty Pink Posh (PPP) dies, Stitched Film Strip and Stitched Borders 3. The dies are perfectly sized for A2 cards.

I added some PPP sequins and clear Wink of Stella for a little sparkle. Even masculine cards need a little extra something!

This is my final entry for the PPP valentine challenge.

I was inspired by this card by Lisa. This one is a heart-to-heart inspiration. :)

Flower shaker

Hello, hello!

Soooo, I actually made the shaker frame on this card twice. I was so frustrated! It is difficult to line up fun foam and patterned paper (not cardstock) if the die cuts are narrow and intricate like Pretty Pink Posh's Scallop Frames.

But, regardless of the frame being a little crooked, I still think the card is beautiful. I hope my sister Ryan likes it. I always worry the most about the cards I make for her because she is a perfectionist like me. :) Cardmaking has actually helped me let go in many ways. Sometimes cards have goofs, but that doesn't mean they don't come from the heart.

Holy shaker, batman! I went crazy with my shaker elements. Confetti, seed beads, *and* sequins, all from Pretty Pink Posh. I have so much in there that I have covered up one entire flower and part of a second one. Hehe.

I had fun stamping the flowers from MFT's Sketched Blooms stamp set. I used inks from Lawn Fawn, Hero Arts, and Simon Says Stamp. You can never have too many reds and pinks!

I am entering my card into the Pretty Pink Posh valentine challenge. This is my second entry. I plan on entering once more when I make my final valentine tonight (for my boyfriend). I am going to make it while Shawn watches TV or something. :)

I was inspired by this card by Gayatri. I used flowers and added the colors of her sequins and blooms.

More than naps

Ahhh, cute, little, sleepy Newton from Newton's Nook Designs. They have so many kitty stamps of this little guy. I love them!

I took a pretty simple approach with this valentine ... just stamping and coloring. So to add a little sparkle, I cut out some Lawn Fawn hearts from MFT's Silver Sparkle cardstock and colored them with a pink marker. :)

To add even more oomph, I spritzed the whole card with Tsukineko Sparkle Sheer Shimmer.
