My inky paws are going green!

Hello, hello. Tonight, I created a card for my mom's best friend who is moving away. We are having a surprise goodbye shindig for her family on Sunday. I created the card with lots of green so that I could "Go Green" with Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #7!

The only thing that didn't really work on this card was some splotched ink around the chips and a little part of the mouse. I didn't let the VersaFine ink dry enough before I started coloring. But I decided to complete the card anyway, because little mistakes just give it more character, right? :)

An anniversary card

Hello!

Some friends of the family will be celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary this weekend! In honor of them, I made their card today to enter Lawnscaping Challenge #76: Dust 'em Off!

Lynette's card with a sentiment about flowers inspired me to create my card.

I'm also entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge "Wedding or Anniversary."

Here it is!

I love this card except for one tiny little thing. I must have gotten glue on the pink flowers and sequins, because I made a shaker card with nothing that shakes! And the glitter I used was too fine. I had to take most of it out because it just stuck to the acetate. Oh well. It was my first try, and I think the card is beautiful. :)

Paper Smooches Anything Goes!

Hello there. I decided to enter my first Paper Smooches Sparks challenge. This is week 3 of anything goes!

For my card, I used the Paper Smooches stamp set A Magical Spring for the pot, sentiment, and small shamrocks.

Happy Valentine's Day Part 2/2 (February 2014)

I finished my valentine cards and am going to take them to the post office as soon as I post this blog. Yay!

I love the card I made for my mom.

For my mom

My sister Jamie and I are a lot alike, so I thought the sentiment on her card made a lot of sense.

For my sister Jamie

I made a balloon for my brother's card because bunnies should always play with balloons.

For my brother

My sister Ryan's card is so shiny and glittery and fun.

For my sister Ryan

The tea set is so cute! But I do wish the stamps were just an outline so that I could do paper piecing or just color them in my own way.

For my friend Christie

Happy Valentine's Day Part 1/2 (February 2014)

I haven't finished making my Valentine's cards yet, but I am so excited to submit three cards to my first Lawnscaping Challenge (#75 Dots and Hearts)!

I was most inspired by an adorable card by Charlene.

My first entry is the card I made for my boyfriend.

The second card is for my friend Ana.

And my third card is for my friend Danielle.
