I first colored some 3mm bamboo skewers with a brown marker.
My next step was making the trees themselves. I spent about three hours die cutting the branches for the four trees I made. Assembling them was easy peasy, though, and didn't take too much time.
Back to the tree bases ... I decided to paint some small terracotta pots white and glue the glitter-covered balls inside. If I had known to do this in the first place, I would have left the balls whole.
I added some shimmer to the trees using both frost and sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz from Tsukineko.
And I also used a paintbrush to add some gold Perfect Pearls to some of the branches.
You can see all the shimmer in the next two photos.
The last step was adding the mini red pompoms to the branches and a silver ribbon around the pots.
I can't wait to make more trees for other holidays! And I think they would make cute party favors or hostess gifts as well. I hope to see more die sets like this. :)
