Tiny flowers

My youngest sister (one of my best friends) turned 29! What? I wish I was 29 again. :) She actually had her birthday four days ago, but I wasn't in a rush to make her card because the family is getting together next weekend to celebrate. My two sisters and their spouses, my brother and his fiance, my mom, my boyfriend, and I will all be going to the mountains to spend the weekend cooking, playing board games, fishing, and tubing to celebrate. We are making it a big deal because it is a joint party for my sister and .... ME! I will be 40 at the end of the month. Wow!

I loved making my sister's card. I used MFT's Mini Modern Blooms stamp and die set, using coordinating colors of Hero Arts, Simon Says Stamp, and Lawn Fawn dye inks to stamp the flowers and leaves.

I also tried a new-to-me technique with this card—ink smooshing! I rubbed three different colors of Distress Ink onto a piece of acetate, spritzed some water, and smooshed onto Ranger's watercolor cardstock. I like how it turned out, but I think I will try brighter colors next time, maybe purples, blues, and greens.

I am entering my card into the following challenge:

Thanks for looking, and have an awesome day! :)
