Little cowboy

Yay! I finished these baby shower invitations for my brother and my sister-in-law a week ago, but I waited to write this post until after my mom mailed them out.

The shower theme is little cowboys, and this cute horse from Mama Elephant was the only stamp I had that would work! I had thought the theme might be camping/outdoorsy/woodsy. I have tons of stamps for that. :) But I still love how the invitations came out. The horse ended up being perfect.

This awesome die from My Favorite Things opens up to reveal a secret. In the case of this project, it reveals the baby's name. My nephew will be called Declan Chase.

The actual inside of the invitations had a little poem at the top:

One small request that won’t be too hard
Please bring a book instead of a card
Whether Cat in the Hat or Winnie the Pooh
You can sign the book with a note from you

And the bottom part had the typical details of where and when and also this initial sentiment:

Janelle and Danny are having a little cowboy!
Help us celebrate

I made 30 invitations. Whew! That is a record for me. :)

Life is good

One of my best friends turned 40! I thought this card was fun because the "40" is chilling in a hammock at the beach. :) Life is good at 40!

I considered putting googly eyes on the 40, but then decided that it would have been too much. Sometimes I don't edit myself!

I can't believe this is the first time I've used this Lawn Fawn stamp set and patterned paper pack. I buy so many products and then forget to use them. :)

Birdie shaker

I finished my Easter cards! This shaker is for my mom. I started out with a light yellow watercolor background and then flicked several other colors on top. I was going for the look of a speckled egg.

I used Pretty Pink Posh (PPP) Easter Mix sequins for the shaker and two PPP little birdies colored in bright Easter colors.

The sequins and flowers are so pretty!

Colorful peeps!

Another masculine Easter card ... Hey, I do the best I can while trying to keep to my aesthetic. I love girly cards! :)

Are these colorful peeps cute or what?

I think that the blue frame brings it all together and helps make the card more masculine.

I am entering my card into the following challenge:
