Cute little camper

I made this birthday card for my brother. Another late card! I am caught up now and can make sure no more cards are late. Whoops.

I made a little camping scene using various dies from Lawn Fawn and My Favorite Things. My brother is very outdoorsy and heads into the mountains nearly every weekend. (We live in Colorado.)

It has been such a long, long time since I tried paper piecing. I think the camper looks adorable with some MFT Farm Fresh Gingham orange patterned paper. I colored the curtains pink for his wife. :)

The only embellishment I added was some clear Wink of Stella on the camper window and the door window, but it doesn't show up in the pictures.

Oh so foxy

This is my mom's ridiculously late Mother's Day card. Yup, I just made it today.

I started by making the background using some layering flower stamps from one of the My Favorite Things card kits. I then created the fox by coloring some white card stock and then using the Foxy Friends die from Wplus9.

I wanted to make the cute little fox the focal point of my card, so I used the Pretty Pink Posh Decorative Tag 1 die to cut an oval from the background. I then purposely turned the resulting frame upside down to give the border of the oval more interest.

I finished off my card with the I Love You border die from Lawn Fawn and some Pretty Pink Posh metallic gold sequins.
