Ana's 40!

Oh my. Oh my, oh my, oh my. One of my besties is turning 40 next week! The big 4-0. Nuts. I'll be following in her footsteps in just a couple of months. Yikes! We have been friends since we were 8 years old. :)

I made her a spring/summer type of card because her birthday is so close to Christmas. She deserves blue skies, green grass, and flowers on her birthday!

I think my favorite thing about this card is the balloon. I used clear Wink of Stella on it and then added Glossy Accents. It is so pretty!

I colored the dog to resemble my friend's dog Snoopy. I haven't met him, but I've seen a picture.

A bushel and a peck

I finished my Thanksgiving cards! This last one is for my mom. I used super nontraditional colors because I can. :)

My mom used to sing to me a lot when I was little. "I love you a bushel and peck, a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck, a hug around the neck and a barrel and a heap, a barrel and a heap and I'm talkin' in my sleep about you." When I saw this sentiment in MFT's Harvest Mouse stamp set, I knew I had to use it on a card for her.

Meadow shaker

I made another shaker! I think I finally have the hang of it. The beads and sequins are so dark, but this is my Thanksgiving card for my boyfriend. I would have liked to make a shaker with pinks and purples, but he would think I'm nuts (more than he does already).

The little critters in Mama Elephant's Woodland Gifts stamp set are so cute. I suppose these two animals represent me and Shawn. Not sure which is which, though. :)

Hello, fall leaves

Hello there! I went with a simpler design for this card. For example, I didn't use foam tape! I love the Stitched Leaves dies from Lawn Fawn. As I made this card, I wished I had bought the mini stitched leaves as well. Soooo, I will add them to my list of "must-haves." :)

I think the confetti from Pretty Pink Posh is so beautiful, especially in metallic gold.

And gold really works with fall colors. I used Distress Inks in shades of gold, red, and brown for the leaves.
