Colorful chaos

Hi!

Using the My Favorite Things Party Patterns stamp set, I created an any-occasion card that highlights my two favorite colors—purple and green—in both the pattern and the matting. Regardless of the colorful chaos that I created as my card background, this is a simpler design for me. I didn't use markers or watercolor, only ink.

Word dies are so awesome. My favorites are from Mama Elephant and Lawn Fawn. :) I used MFT's Silver Shine card stock for "smile." It really looks like embossing powder, which is cool.

I used the flash on the last photo to really show sparkle on the shapes where I added clear Wink of Stella. I love it!

Day brightened

Hello!

On my card today, I used three of the new My Favorite Things paper packs, and I finally got around to using the Sunday Stroll stamps and dies from Mama Elephant. I am probably three or four releases behind on using new products. Yikes!

I wanted to focus all the dimension on my card on "you." This may be the first time I didn't use foam tape! So, I cut out the You die from Avery Elle several times using two My Favorite Things shades of pink card stock.

The dimension is really obvious in the next photo. It looks really cool!

I love the new Storybook 1 die from Pretty Pink Posh. There are so many possibilities! I may make a comic with some superhero stamps in the future. Can't wait to see the other dies in the upcoming Storybook series.

Slice of happiness

I love the colors of my card. So summery! Even though I colored slices of citrus, the background reminds me of sherbet. Hmmmm. Now I have a craving.

This was my first time trying the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. They didn't work too well on the Ranger water color paper as is, which surprised me. They almost seemed like they were nearly out of ink already. But once I added water, it was much better. I tried them on regular 80 lb cardstock, and they blended just fine without water. So, my verdict is that at this point I prefer Distress Inks for water coloring.

This was also the first time I used the iridescent sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. I love them! I'm so excited that Paulina is going to release new colors next month.

Treat yourself!

I am so happy for my friend, Christie. She was offered a new job! No more copious amounts of overtime. I am also looking for a different job (possibly a career change), and her success is so encouraging. :o)

What better way to say congratulations than with popsicles? They are such a happy treat!

Before I put glossy accents on the popsicles, I added glitter with my Wink of Stella clear brush marker. I wish the pictures showed the sparkle!

The colors are so bright and cheery! I almost didn't want to give this one away.

I am entering my card into three challenges, two of them for the first time!
