Happy graduation

My friend's daughter graduated from high school, and I made this card for her. Lauren is not my kid, but this still makes me feel so old because I have known her for ten years or so. Wow!

I tried a new watercoloring technique for my card. I used Distress Ink to paint the peonies through a stencil from Memory Box. Because the ink was more fluid, it did sneak under the stencil here and there. But it just gave it even more of a watercolor look.

This is my second entry into the Pretty Pink Posh watercolor blog hop. :)

Rain or shine

My friend is going through a tough time at work. We went to dinner last night to vent, and I just *had* to make a card for her to let her know that I will always be there.

I used three distress inks for my card, letting the colors run together to create something unique. I then used white pigment ink over a raindrop stencil to tie the die cut in with the sentiment I used.

I'm so excited to enter my card into the Pretty Pink Posh watercolor blog hop!

Mama bear

I haven't made a card in six weeks! Ahhhhhhh! I had a major deadline at work to win a $500 million contract, so I was super busy at the end of April. And then I went to South Africa for a couple of weeks. It was awesome, by the way. Seriously. Cape Town is so cool. I went paragliding for the first time (and the second time ... YES) and saw baboons and penguins and ostriches and so many other fun things. Then I went on safari and saw the big five (leopard, lion, cape buffalo, rhino, elephant) as well as a cheetah and hippos and warthogs and so many different types of African antelope. The trip was great!

And now, here I am, VERY LATE in making my mom her Mother's Day card. I know she will love it, though. She is my favorite. :) I think I may even make her another one.

I love Wink of Stella and all her sparkly glory!

I am entering my card into two challenges:
