My friend Christie and I love to go to Barnes and Noble and browse. We especially love the children's section and both enjoy reading young adult novels and books for middle school age children. (You are only as young as you feel.)
A couple of years back, we saw a book meant for a much, much younger audience, called "The Day the Crayons Quit." It is adorable, and I recommend you check it out. I ended up buying it later and giving it to Christie for Christmas or maybe her birthday (both are in December). She thought it was awesome!
I was thinking of Christie today and decided to make her a card just for fun to celebrate our friendship. When I grabbed the Lawn Fawn stamp set Color My World, I was reminded of that cute book and how Christie and I are so young at heart. :)
I also love entering card challenges, so I looked up where I could enter my card before I started creating. I found the Flickr Lawn Fawn/Simon Says Stamp co-challenge "Get Crafty with Kraft":
I therefore added some kraft paper by paper piecing the little crayons.
I used my clear Wink of Stella brush marker to make the crayons sparkle and finished off the card with Pretty Pink Posh sequins in even more colors.
